Alexandra is an electrical and computer engineer from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and a systems neuroscience MSc graduate. During her BSc studies, she became interested in the mechanisms of the brain, leading her to the Brain and Mind master's program at the University of Crete. She carried out her master thesis in the Physiology of Cognitive functions laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Georgia Gregoriou, examining how attention affects neuronal processing in different brain areas. She then joined Panayiota Poirazi's laboratory, working on biophysical models of neural networks. She is working with Klaus Wimmer from the Computational Neuroscience group in CRM.
