CRM-MdM Chair of Excellence 2025
CRM-MdM Chair of Excellence 2025 call aim to host 1-2 top rank women mathematicians in one of the CRM groups for a short stay of 1-4 months. Any topics in fundamental and applied mathematics connected to CRM strategic programme are eligible.
OBJECTIVES of the CRM-MdM Chair of Excellence 2025 call will be to connect CRM with inspiring role models and establish long-term collaborations with women leaders in mathematical research at international level. It will be funded by the MdM Unit of Excellence (2022-2025).
TARGET
Senior women mathematicians or computer scientists, of any nationality, at any stage of their career (Associate Professor, Professor, etc.) excluding CRM members or faculty affiliated with one of the Catalan Universities.
DURATION
1-2 awarded applicants will be funded for a short stay between 1 and 4 months maximum. The stay should take place between 1st May and 31st December 2025.
SUPPORT
o Stipend: 5000 €/month (before taxes).
o Travel: Round-trip travel – economy fare.
The terms of her stay will be handled in agreement with her home institution.
DUTIES
The CRM-MdM chair holder will be “hosted” by a senior CRM member (“reference” group). She will be required to deliver a colloquium or mini-course introducing her research topic during her stay at CRM. Participation and/or co-organization of other scientific activities is encouraged.

o CV providing ORCID, list of publications and summary of other merits (max 2 pages).
o Motivation letter (1 page).
o Proposal, detailing CRM reference senior member(s) and how this will contribute to the host group(s) to develop an innovative scientific activity, how it would contribute to other CRM groups/areas + Description of the proposed course and/or other planned activities (3 pages maximum).
o CRM Reference: When you register, you will have to provide his/her email address.
EVALUATION
Evaluation will be performed by a panel comprising 2 senior CRM Faculty members and 1 member of the Scientific Advisory Board. One of them at least will be a woman. They will review the quality of the proposal and the expected benefits for the reference group as well as long-term impact for CRM at large.
TIMEFRAME
Awarded chair holder(s) will be notified during the first week of March 2025.
