MAGNET Program
MAGNET is a program promoted by the Jaume Bofill Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Education and the Institution of Educational Sciences of the UAB and the Diputació de Barcelona, whose objective is to accompany the educational centers in the development of an educational project in partnership with an institution. This alliance must allow the educational center to develop an innovative and quality educational project, an attractive project that has magnetism and that becomes a reference project in its territory, both for families and for the educational community. The program is inspired by Magnet Schools in the United States, which have been operating since the seventies.
The institutions involved are institutions of reference and excellence in a field of specific knowledge (science, technology, art, audiovisual communication, etc.) that have an educational commitment to society, and a great capacity to transfer innovation and knowledge.
The CRM collaborates with the Jaume Blume school in Sabadell to promote mathematics amongs the students through a series of talks and activities carried out by CRM researchers.
